Our Signature Reveals Who We Are

The way we write can reveal a lot about our personality and character, as well as how we relate to ourselves and others.
Our signature reveals who we are

Our signature is unique and inimitable, just as the fingerprints are different from each other. For this reason, the signature says a lot about an individual’s personality, about his way of thinking, acting and even about his flaws and merits. This aspect was discovered several years ago and thus graphology was born , a science that studies the signature and its structure.

It is said that based on the shape, size and even the details of each signature, a person’s traits can be determined.

Thanks to these small features, some curious aspects of the character can be identified that sometimes not even the owner of the signature is aware.

What characteristics does our signature have?

Is it readable?

Most signatures consist of the name and surname of the person in question. However, there are endless variations.

In the case of readability, we refer to the degree of ease with which the names contained in the signature in question can be identified.

  • A legible signature is said to be proper to a sincere and forthright person.
  • On the contrary, the hard to understand signatures are typical of a suspicious personality who shows himself resistant to authority.
  • If only the initials are understandable, it means that in front of us we have someone who takes a long time to trust.

Inclination

Slope of the signature

As absurd as it may seem, the inclination our signature presents can indicate key characteristics of our personality.

  • When it hangs upward, it means that the person is ambitious, combative and aspiring to success. If the upward inclination is excessive, it may be that the person in question is overly ambitious in the personal sphere.
  • If it has a downward slope  , this stretch can be understood as a symptom of apathy, but if the slope is very strong, it can be a symptom of propensity for depression. Pessimism and lack of self-esteem are equally crucial aspects.
  • A horizontal signature is typical of an emotionally and mentally stable person.

Size of the letters

It is said that the larger the letters, the more outgoing the person is and vice versa.

Likewise, smaller letters can be indicative of a shy and attention-seeking person. Normally, the letters should be between 1 and 2 cm large.

Content

Content of the signature

We refer to the presence of the identity in the signature , which is a presentation of our name and surname to the company.

However, if one of the two components of the signature predominates over the other, this may be synonymous of greater importance to the name rather than the surname and vice versa.

If we sign with full name, but the first prevails over the second, this indicates independence, a person who does not need to be represented by anyone other than himself.

Curved or straight letters

Signatures whose letters are curved are representative of a person who is affable, in good humor and with a taste for aesthetics.

On the contrary, angular signatures can represent an extremely steadfast, correct and disciplined person.

Presence of capital letters

Calligraphy

A person whose capital letters are three times larger than normal can be considered self-centered.

If the capital letter is twice as large as normal, the person in question keeps his feet firmly on the ground and has a self-esteem that never falters.

In the absence of capital letters, one can speak of a personality endowed with humility and altruism.

Pressure on the sheet

The more decisive the trait, the more we find ourselves in front of an authoritarian and determined subject.

On the contrary, if our subtle and lightly drawn signature is synonymous with a spirit of adaptation and tranquility.

Decorations and details

Decorations and details in the handwriting

The details contained in a signature can reveal a lot about how we like to present ourselves to the world.

Handwriting without embellishments can be synonymous with authenticity and transparency. On the contrary, some characteristic details may arise, such as:

  • Reels: indicate a person with many ideas on his mind and looking for authenticity.
  • Underlines: They represent a lot of confidence and determination when making decisions. Typical of people who take the risk of new challenges and who are not afraid of defeat.
  • Final point: symbol of a very disciplined, dutiful and organized person.
  • Regressive signature: typical of a person looking for security to achieve their goals.
