Regenerating the liver: 8 useful foods

Today in our space we would like to offer you a small program to be adopted to regenerate the liver. We would like to invite you to include 8 effective foods in your diet that will gradually bear fruit.

The liver is one of the most important organs when it comes to losing weight. The organ in charge of digesting food, as we know, is the stomach.

However, even if this delicate and complex task is carried out in the best possible way, the stomach needs the help of the liver and the gallbladder, as they produce bile, an indispensable substance for the digestive process.

Therefore, if the liver does not function optimally, the fat is not digested or eliminated properly, slowing down the metabolism and saturating the body with toxins.

It is good to remember, therefore, that a healthy liver is synonymous with health and well-being.

To regenerate the liver, to take care of the largest organ in our body, we must eat properly and adopt healthy daily habits.

Furthermore, following a low-fat diet, exercising and losing bad habits, such as the use of tobacco, in 30 days we will notice good results.

Foods to regenerate the liver

1. A fasting clove of garlic

Taking a clove of garlic on an empty stomach is a classic remedy of natural medicine. Well, we all know that it is not easy to practice this habit: its taste is not pleasant and causes bad breath.

To avoid bad breath, we recommend chewing on some fresh mint.

Despite this small inconvenience, if you want to cleanse your liver and lose weight, we recommend that you eat a clove of garlic on an empty stomach every morning. Its supply of allicin and selenium is ideal for helping to purify and regenerate the liver.

2. One organic grapefruit a day

Grapefruit is a fabulous fruit for liver health.  Its high content of vitamin C and antioxidants promotes the natural functions of the liver.

It would be advisable not to miss a nice grapefruit juice for breakfast: the immune and digestive systems will be grateful to you.

3. Coffee or green tea

Green tea or coffee is rich in antioxidants to help regenerate the liver

You can drink green tea or coffee for breakfast, always paying attention to the sweetener you add to these drinks (the best options are honey or stevia).

Both tea and coffee are rich in antioxidants  such as catechins and polyphenols, which are excellent for regenerating the liver.

Nevertheless, remember not to exceed in the consumption of these drinks: the right quantities bring the right benefits.

4. Yes to avocado

Avocado is a food that we often recommend in our articles.

Its Omega 3 fatty acids take care of heart health. In addition, they promote the production of glutathione by the liver, a compound that helps us eliminate fats and toxins.

5. Buckwheat

Buckwheat helps regulate metabolism

You can find buckwheat in health food stores, herbal shops or supermarket shelves dedicated to organic and healthy foods. With buckwheat you can make bread or sweets.

You will be pleased to know that buckwheat regulates metabolism, thanks to inosinate,  a compound that acts as a liver protector and helps process certain hormones.

It also allows you to purify yourself of toxins contained in medicines and glucose.

In addition, it is one of the most nutritious types of wheat, rich in proteins and essential amino acids that help us have enough energy and enjoy iron health.

6. Artichokes

We love artichokes, great for dinner and to take care of your weight.

  • From this moment on, remember that they cannot be missing in your diets, because they not only help regenerate the liver, but also promote the health of the pancreas.
  • Their natural enzymes regenerate, protect and promote all processes associated with the digestion of fats.

They are worth taking into account and enjoying all their benefits several times a week.

7. Turmeric

Turmeric is the liver’s favorite spice.

If we get used to adding it to risotto, lean meat dishes or even to our herbal teas with a little honey, we will get a detoxifying remedy for the liver.
